Lucky Mays is an accomplished adult contemporary singer-songwriter and producer from Sandia Park, New Mexico. His music is a unique blend of styles he describes as “genre-fluid,” offering a sound that resonates with listeners from diverse backgrounds. Lucky’s songs weave wistful stories that are at once bittersweet and profoundly honest.
“My music stays true to my roots, blending Pop, Americana, Rock, Soul, and Country influences,” says Lucky.
His highly anticipated sophomore album, Riding on Sunbeams, was released on August 23, 2024.
“Riding on Sunbeams is a collection that reflects the emotional and spiritual journey I’ve been on since my debut album. It closes old chapters and opens the door to new stories. It’s my way of thanking the people who support my art and the life I’ve chosen—the good, the bad, and everything in between,” he explains.
Lucky’s self-produced debut album, Lucky Mays, was released on November 1, 2019, followed by several independently released singles. With more new music on the horizon, Lucky has garnered recognition for his work, including BMI Songwriter awards and New Mexico Music Awards. Despite these accolades, he humbly asserts, “It’s all about the songs.”
Lucky owns and operates a private recording facility, Unfurnished Studios, and manages his song catalog through Fidelia Music Publishing (BMI). His music has also been featured in film, including the soundtrack for Caffeine & Gasoline: The Evolution of the American Rocker (available on Amazon Prime).
